The Draft League (presented by Bowling Dynamix) is Houston's PREMIER summer league for high-average bowlers.  Consisting of forty (40)  4 member teams, the league bowls Thursdays at Emerald Bowl, practice starts at 6:50 pm THE LEAGUE WILL BOWL ON A CUSTOM DESIGNED KEGEL PATTERN

THIS IS A SCRATCH LEAGUE DESIGNED FOR COMPETITIVE BOWLERS 

THIS IS NOT A BEGINNER LEAGUE

Only the top twenty (20) teams cash in this league.  Distribution of prize fund to the top 20 teams are voted on by the league members.  

Bowlers enter the draft as a single.  The 40 bowlers with the highest averages are designated captains and draft the teams.  Draft order will be done from lowest to highest average. After each round, the averages of the team members will be added together and reordered smallest to largest to determine the next draft order.  Bowlers who bowled the previous summer's Draft League will use that average, everyone else will use their composite average from bowl.com   The draft is done live on Facebook.  This year the draft will be done May 19 starting around 2:00 pm.  The draft will be done from the bar at Emerald Bowl. 

In previous years, we have runs a combine or a sweeper for captains to see bowlers they might not know in action.  We plan on doing something similar this year.

100% of funds after lineage go into the prize fund.  Mike does not take a secretary fee. League sponsorships, equipment raffles and a portion of all Financial Opportunities all help increase the prize fund. 

Be sure to check out the WIN YOUR LEAGUE RAFFLE.  This raffle is $10/ticket with one ticket drawn on the first league night.  One lucky person might win their entire league paid for - a $400 value.

Each week 4 games are bowled.  The first 2 games each week are position round.  The second 2 games are regular league games. The season is 12 weeks long starting May 30.  There is no bowling on July 4.

The final week all 4 games will be bowled as position round.    This is a large league.  Payout date will be announced on the first night of bowling.  

Brackets/High Game/ Eliminator/

It's summer - there will be substitutes needed.  Substitutes pay a one time $5 fee and  must have a composite average NO GREATER than the bowler they are substituting.  All average decisions will be made by the League Secretary and are final. If you want to sub, contact Mike Austin no later than 6pm on the Wednesday prior to subbing.  See league rules for  any additional information you might need. 

 Registering for the draft is free.  Please note, while there are only 160 spots, there may be more than 160 bowlers registered.   You may or may not be drafted for a team.  Registration does not guarantee a spot on a team.  The top 40 averages are the captains - no exceptions.
